Many of the Year 5 and 6 have recently returned from the annual residential visit to Bude. Once again we were joined by children from Albert Village Primary School. This is a great way for children from across the Oval Learning Trust to get to know each other. They still remember each other when they come together at Ivanhoe and Ashby School.
The 6 day residential trip gives the children the chance to overcome their fears and challenge themselves in all sorts of ways. They reinforced their key strengths and also found strengths they didn’t know they had! The children loved body boarding and surfing in the sea as well as canoeing and mountain boarding. So many children showed resilience when they were climbing the high ropes or abseiling down the side of the hotel. I know they will have created so many magical memories that will stay with them for life.
